Student experience Program Associate
Matriculate seeks a strong candidate to plan and execute programming for the high school student experience on Matriculate’s team. This person will support the lifecycle of our High School Fellows including recruitment, onboarding, resource development and student evaluation—helping to ensure that through their experience in the Matriculate program, High School Fellows are empowered to make the leap to top colleges. This position reports to the High School Experience Senior Program Manager while working closely with the rest of the Matriculate team.
Specifically, the Student Experience Program Associate will oversee the smooth and high-quality delivery and refinement of the high school student strategy by:
Oversee the smooth and high-quality delivery and refinement of the high school student strategy.
Assume responsibility for ensuring high schools students receive the resources and support they need to meet college application milestones
Support the recruitment and onboarding of high school students
Monitor high school student uptake and High School Fellow experience; devise and implement strategies to increase engagement and retention
Support the training of college Advising Fellows to ensure they are positioned to best support high school students
Recruit and manage volunteers to support High School Fellows
Manage the development, production, packaging and distribution of program materials for high school students and parents
Develop systems for scalability
Build community among high school students
Develop the engagement and celebration strategy for current college students and college graduates
Contribute to overall organizational growth and evolution
Be/become an expert in the college access landscape
Collaborate across the Matriculate program to ensure maximum consistencies and efficiencies
Identify and troubleshoot challenges as they arise
Contribute to Matriculate’s culture of continuous improvement
Who You Are

WORK EXPERIENCE: At least 1 year of experience (professional or gained during college) at a program that serves students. Prior experience in college access/success and/or serving as a peer mentor or leadership position on campus is a plus.
EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATIONS: Conveys information clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing. Experience creating program materials and other resources.
ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS: Excellent attention to detail with the ability to see projects through from start to finish. Stays focused on execution to reach stated goals.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Builds, manages and leverages relationships with diverse groups and with a proven track record of flexibility and influence.
STRATEGIC THINKING AND EXECUTION: Balances strategic and analytical thinking and program execution. Leverages data in short- and long-term planning.
INITIATIVE AND SELF-DEVELOPMENT: High degree of personal initiative in problem solving, commitment to constantly learning, growing, and reflecting on your work

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Command of MS office suite and remote communications methods. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
EDUCATION: A bachelor’s degree is required.
WORK TRAVEL AND LOCATION
This position works out of Matriculate’s office in Lower Manhattan in NYC. Applicants must be able to travel to urban and rural communities up to 10% of time, as well as occasional nights and weekend as needed
